4-4-4-4 T-1 Duplex Steam Locomotive/Pennsylvania Railroad

4-4-4-4 T-1 Duplex Steam Locomotive/Pennsylvania Railroad
SKU: R91702

The last steam-powered locomotive developed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the powerful T1 duplex-drive engine - designed by Raymond Loewy with distinctive "sharknose" streamlining and able to pull a 16-car passenger train at 100 miles per hour - led some of the most magnificent high-speed passenger trains of the 1940s. Replicating one of the 52 T1s built by Baldwin Locomotive Works from 1942 to '46, this DCC-ready, HO scale model features built-in sound - you'll hear synchronized chuff, whistle, bell, squealing brakes and other sounds - that works on standard DC layouts, a die cast body and chassis, a powerful 5-pole motor with dual flywheels, directional lighting, operating cab roof vents, engineer and fireman figures, incredible details such as a builder's plate and rear tender plates, an authentic Pennsylvania Railroad paint scheme, and much more. 17¼" long.
